Hi there!

Yes, most of us know that Kelly Robinson met up with Napoleon Solo (or rather Culp with Vaughn) on several occasions .... on the Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964) in the "Shark Affair"

and on a Perry Mason MTV movie (1990) called "The Case of the Defiant Daughter," a 1961 episode of Target: The Corrupters in an episode called "To Wear A Badge" (which also featured Michael Constantine), plus the very well done Diagnosis, Murder episode in 1997 called "Discards." This was the "Return of the 60s TV Spies" episode on the Dr. Sloan/Dick Van Dyke series that featured Culp, Vaughn, Phil Morris (Greg's son), Barbara Bain, and Patrick MacNee.

All that being said, did you know that Jim West - of the "Wild, Wild .... " also met up with Kelly Robinson?? (O.K., O.K. make that the 2 Roberts - Conrad and Culp.)

It was on a short lived Robert Conrad series called A Man Called Sloane (1979). Thomas Remington Sloane was a freelance secret agent, with a boss called The Director and a black sidekick called Torque - who came equipped with a detachable hand that he could affix a variety of instruments to (think along the lines of an updated Capt. Hook), and there was also a computer named "Effie." (There's lots of reasons this thing only lasted one season!!)

Here's a videoclip from YouTube. Our Bob plays the villain who is the head of a cosmetic company and up to dastardly world domination deeds (using a Killer Red lipstick, if I remember correctly). He's also very fond of his little dog. (I repeat - there's lots of reasons this thing only lasted one season!! - They filched something from every known spy movie and TV show out there.)

There's only a few seconds of our Bob in this clip, but it is interesting none the less (makes you appreciate the class and elegance of "I SPY" all the more!)

As always,
