Yes, I've seen numerous episodes of Psych, although the overt silliness of it finally turned me away. Maya's analysis of the similarities between Psych and "I Spy" are right on target, I think. Good call!
Of course there are some differences, such as Shawn having a cranky old father still very much in his life, and his not being the fashion hound that Gus likes to be (Gus tends to wear business casual and Shawn is in scraggly jeans). They bicker more than Kelly and Scotty did, but are, indeed, lifelong friends and innately very close to each other. Neither has the courage of our two heroes!
