Hi Everyone,

It has taken me forever, but with the auspicious date of 08/08/08 arriving tomorrow to usher in the Olympics in China, I've worked hard to finish up my I SPY THEN & NOW HONG KONG photos. They are a mixture of I SPY Screen Captures from all of the Hong Kong episodes and shots from our fabulous trip to the Orient ... (Yes, yes, Tatia went looking for exotic, serene Zen-like places like Chuang-Tzu's hidden temple, but found that China today is a skyscraper-filled mecca mixed with more hustle and bustle than Times Square in New York City.)

I SPY's OLYMPIC Connection ....

(so glad Elroy Brown turned out to be a true champion in the end!!)

In my photos of HONG KONG, you will see so much that has changed since Kelly & Scotty
shared their adventures with us in 1965, but also, happily, many sights that have remained quite the same!

Exciting Hong Kong at Night

I'll be posting these photos, a few a day - I took LOTS of photos while we were there,
and I went through all of the Hong Kong episodes to match up LOTS of screen captures!! .... ENJOY!!

And be sure to check-out our own Suite 635's multi-part photos from his 2007 trip to Hong Kong, too.

I'll start off INSIDE the fabulous Peninsula Hotel - and - our famous hotel room SUITE 635 where so many scenes took place from "Cup of Kindness" and "Dragon's Teeth" and "Danny Was A Million Laughs" etc., etc.

WELCOME TO HONG KONG

SUITE 635 - THEN ...

And SUITE 635 - NOW

..... Well, like all TRULY great sports jerseys, the No. 635 has been "retired" - and SUITE 634-636 is now what is there.
(And to "our" Suite 635, the "Music Room" is now located on the opposite end of that hallway.
You are back in business as a true SUITE. )

The Very, very Elegant Suite 634-636 ...

and I am sure the Amazingly Expensive Suite 634-636 ...

I don't think a year's worth of Kelly's and Scotty's government per diem would get them into this Suite today!

More on the PENINSULA HOTEL - THEN & NOW next ....

As always,

Tatia
