I just heard from our friend Wes Britton, of the great SPYWISE.NET site,
http://www.spywise.net/
and author of ....
.
.
Wes mentioned a very nice Podcast radio site called
Cocktail Nation out of Sydney, Australia. The host, Koop Kooper, has a special "All Spy Jazz Show" (Show No. 36) broadcasting right now.
The info. says about this show ....
"He's gone undercover to play the very best spy jazz from yesterday and today as he delves into the world of spy television talking to Wes Britton, author of the book Spy Television and his website spywise.net. He also talks with the guitarist on the original James Bond theme Vic Flick and the guardian of spy jazz today, Tom Tremelo, from Spy Fi."

It really is a delightful show - with several different versions of themes I had not heard before. Koop is knowledgeable and presents good, short interviews, giving his guests an opportunity to express themselves and their views.
Here's the line-up ....
Mel Torme – Secret Agent Man
Cyril Stapeleton – The Saint
Laurie Johnson - The Avengers
Joey Altruda - Tropical Espionage
Vicki Carr - The Silencers
John Barrie 7 - James Bond Theme
Stereophonic Space Sound Unlimited - Project QX5
Hugo Montenegro - Get Smart
Henry Mancini - Walkin Bass
Spy Fi – Black Tie Spy
Al Cailoa - Man from U.N.C.L.E.
The Four Esquires - James Bond Theme
Metrolites - Today We Kil, Tomorrow We Spy
Cocktail Preachers - Spy Fi
Count Bassie - From Russia with Love
Earle Hagen - I Spy
Billy May - Mission Impossible
Enjoy!!
As always,
Tatia
