Response to Unfilmed scripts

I haven't watched Philotimo yet. We're getting into that time of year when it's hard for non-holiday themed programming to get any air time. For example, last night I watched "Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special" and "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol". I'll see if I can't squeeze an I Spy episode in before too long.

The Ernie Frankel written episode I've seen most recently is "Turnabout for Traitors". I also think it's my favorite. I was in Acapulco recently where a lot of the location stuff for this episode was shot. In fact I put together a "Then and Now" photo comparison here.

In "Turnabout for Traitors" local landmarks like Fort San Diego are used as locations and mentioned by name. I don't remember the names of the locations where the episode begins (where Kelly meets Elena) or where it ends (near that church). In any case I'm wondering if Mr. Frankel wrote this script with Acapulco in mind, and more specifically, with locations like Las Brisas and Fort San Diego in mind. I suspect he at least knew it was going to be set in Mexico. Was there some "real time" retooling of the script to adapt it to the local geography?

Jimmy
