C'MON Out There .... !!!

Hope some more of you will jump in here ....


The question was:

What character (or characters) would you like to have
personally played on I SPY???

( .... walking in their shoes for a bit )


My choices, of course, would lean towards TATIA - I definitely have an affinity for her, and also a strong one for CATHERINE FAULKNER - I guess I like and identify with independent, intelligent woman, who appreciate the hidden qualities in the men of their choice, and like photography ....





BUT interestingly, when I started thinking about this, I did the same thing as Mona and Jimmy - and switched over the gender lines to choose two male roles -


First the WARLORD (O.K. not so surprising - though up until now I have always gone along with that James Bond credo - "Men want to be him, women want to be with him." But, I find Chuang-Tzu such a fascinating, complex character - powerful, sophisticated, intelligent, driven, with a good dose of ruthlessness mixed in with his nobility, plus some humor and wit and veiled tenderness thrown in, too. He's an individual so loyal to his cause and men, that he is willing to sacrifice the woman he truly loves. By sending her away, knowing he will never see her again, he is also abandoning the only happiness he probably has ever experienced - but he also knows he is protecting her from the inevitable end he faces. (O.K. so I'm a romantic at heart! )







And my other choice is wonderful COLONEL BENKOVSKI - he is shrewd, charming, pragmatic, intelligent, and knows how to play the win-lose espionage game with grit, cunning, intelligence, and good humor - you win some - you lose some, you sometimes have the upper-hand and other times you don't ... but you keep playing the game with wit and determination. Bet our Col. Benkovski plays a mean game of chess and can regale you with great stories after a bottle of vodka or so ...
