Hi
manwhoneverwas
(and hey! hey! hey! Mona - so glad to hear from you - hope you are mending and healing up well!!

)
Thanks
manwhonever - for your additional comments .... Sounds like I will definitely have to be on the lookout for that Season 3 -
ROUTE 66 out on DVD - with "2" Laura Devon episodes.
In your honor, I finally put together some screen cap photos of "The Chinese Sunset" episode of
THE FUGITIVE I had taken. This was made a year after
Laura Devon's I SPY appearance, and she is looking very "TATIA-ish" in this.
Here's the link for "Chinese Sunset" again (unfortunately with those intermittent notices popping up along the way.)

After Mona's posting, I did a bit of hunting around on
David Janssen . And I think he may be the ONE soul in Hollywood that our Bob did NOT work with .... (but they did share relationships with Carol Connors along the way).
I remember hearing or reading a Culp interview where he said that at one time he was "King of the Movies of the Week rivaled only by David Janssen, who unfortunately checked out early." Janssen was only 48 when he passed away!!
I remember enjoying "Harry-O"' too, Mona. On IMDB, it said he was in another series called "O'Hara, U.S. Treasury" - don't remember that one at all, and it didn't stay on too long.
There seems to be quite a few parallels in both Mr. Janssen's and Culp's lives and careers - down to being pole-vaulters in high school. And while our Bob can claim some fame for his connection with "Silent Night, Deadly Night - Part III," David had the dubious honor of being knocked off in the "Cult of the Cobra." Both had more than one hit TV series, starred in many Movies of the Weeks, did numerous guest star appearances, plus were both able to cross-over easily to the big screen, though had more fame and success on the smalerl one.
The timing of your posting was most apropos
manwhonever. This month marks the 2nd anniversary of the beautiful Ms. Devon's passing. I did a tribute to her then, with photos and links. If you haven't seen it, you can find it at

And there is a very, very interesting website on
David Janssen, I just ran across called "The David Janssen Archive." I really don't know how to describe it. It is extremely well done and researched, obviously written and compiled by a very intelligent and totally thorough individual. It is not one-sided or reverential. But it is the most overly complete "day-by-day, year-by-year" account of anyone's life and career that I have ever, ever seen. It makes our "interest" in I SPY and Messrs. Culp and Cosby seem like superficial dabbling.
Check out this site and its menu, if you would like to know "anything and everything" about Mr. Janssen.

I've been enjoying the lovely scenery and ocean breezes hiking around Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor. (You never know when your assignment might be hiding in the woods!!) Moving along tomorrow ...
All my best,
Tatia
