I meant to tell you that you have perhaps my all-time favorite I Spy photo on your site. I think this may be the quintessential photo to capture the essence of Kelly and Scotty:

I looked through your screen captures Cate, and they are wonderful. I wasn’t bothered by the high percentage of shirtless ones. I suspect that if you were to make a completely random set of captures from I Spy, you would still end up with a fairly high percentage of shirtless ones, perhaps not as high as in your not-so-random sampling, but high anyway. It’s unavoidable.

I was thinking of my personal iconic image of Kelly and Scotty. Coincidently it’s from “Let’s Kill Karlovassi”. I say coincidently because we have just been discussing that episode. At the very beginning of the episode they disembark from a ship that has docked at Hydra. I remember thinking, even when I first saw this episode as a sheltered youth in the sixties, that these were about the two coolest looking guys on the planet as they came down the gangplank. It’s pretty clear that they were quite aware of it too. Of course, being sartorially challenged, from birth I think, I knew I could never approach that level of hipness, but I can partake in it vicariously.

Please don't anyone misunderstand. I was definitely NOT bothered by the shirtless photos -- it was just a little good-natured kidding. As far as I'm concerned, the more the shirtless photos, the better

Becca, please don't worry. I wasn't bothered by your comment at all. It's funny 'cause it's true. There were good reasons the producers had Kelly and Scotty walking around in various states of undress- and it was a happy thing. I should have been more specific as to why I am shutting down my photobucket site. I can't keep up. I'm getting requests from all over the world for pictures from people's favorite episodes. In fact, if you google "I spy screencaps," my name just pops up everywhere. Some emails aren't even in English! (fortunately, I have multi-lingual friends. What I really need is a Rhodes Scholar who studies linguistics, but we can't always have our 'druthers) I'll keep my photobucket site up until the end of the week, so get your favorites while you can. And if anyone at the Forum has any requests, please let me know- I'm more than happy to snap a picture for you guys!
