Hi everyone!

Our "Phantom Photographer" has sent on a few more terrific photos - this time from his travels in Venice with great "location" shots from THE BRIDGE OF SPIES, which I've paired up with several screen captures ... I love the "wonderfulness" of all the details in these photos! And you will not believe how very little things have changed in 40 years!!

(I'm going to post this in 2 parts - so it doesn't take tooo long for all the photos to load! )

So here we go for a NOW & THEN excursion forwards and backwards to THE BRIDGE OF SPIES ....
(photos on the left taken a few weeks ago - photos on the right from the "I SPY 60's.")

Gianna checking out the Bridge for her next "victim."

Kelly strolling across the same Bridge. (Love that walk ...)

Scotty and Kelly and the Knights
Great shot, Phantom Photographer - yes, the photo in the center is 40 years later
... and no one wears pink and yellow like our Tailored Twosome ...

St. Mark's Square ( San Marco) never looked so good.

Check out the lamp posts - still the same - wonderfully frozen in time!

The center photo is 40 years ago!! The other two are from the present.
Check out the details on the floor and the columns!!

continued in Part 2 ....

Our Phantom Photographer Phinds the BRIDGE OF SPIES .... PART 2

June 28 2007, 11:58 PM

Part 2 ....

Gianna running down the steps with Kelly and Scotty in hot pursuit.
Great shot!!

.... and the Evil Bad Guy trying to run away (they do that you know).
You did Fouad proud, 'oh Phantom Photographer.

Kelly and Gianna on the Bridge.
No, that's "not" a new dance step they are trying out.

"It's not nice to try to kill Kelly, Gianna!! He's got to be back next week for the next episode."

But Gianna is a "one-night" episode girl - so she learns her lesson the hard way -
that "The Good Guys Always Triumph Over the Bad Guys" (or girl, in this particular case).

And our cool cameraman found the exact spot again!!

Thank you again SO MUCH "Phantom Photographer" for sharing your great "I SPY location hunting" adventures with us. I think we've enjoyed viewing your photos as much as you enjoyed taking them .... Please keep traveling - and keep sending us more photos whenever you can!!

~~~~~
And Tatia and Faithful Tonto will be attending the "Alexander Scott Concert" tomorrow (O.K. - so he sometimes goes under that "Cosby" name. ) I'm very much looking forward to hearing what his current routines are like these days. (I just hope he doesn't bring up anything about Japanese hotels or jails!!) I just read that the concert is sold out - nice to know he can still pack the rafters!! I understand that photographs are strictly prohibited, so Tatia won't be able to take her camera along.
Now we all know that Scotty never approved of Tatia ...
right from the get go!
"I'm not going to turn around - BUT - Do you think I'm wearing him down, Kel?
Is that a hint of a smile breaking through on Scotty's face?"
O.K., O.K. All is well - and all is forgiven after 40 years!
~~~~~~

And I'm working on a few questions for you myself, Mr. Beardface. It's been a long time since your last visit .... and Tatia has grown a bit more knowledgeable and (hopefully) a bit wiser along the way. So my original list of 66,666 questions has decreased down to about .... well, let's say 66,660!! I'll try to get a few together for you soon.

All my best,

Tatia

Thanks PP and Tatia!

Great photos! It is amazing how few changes there have been, but I think that's probably common in Europe, where many buildings and venues have existed for centuries. Anyway you did a great job capturing those I Spy sites and thank you again for sharing them with us.
