Well, I thought I would poke my head up and say hello. I noticed my old friend (I use the term somewhat loosely!) Mr. Beardface has returned to the fold and I thought maybe it was time for me to join in the fun again. I have continued to enjoy I Spy, to study the enigma that is Robert Culp and to try to follow the exploits of his son Jason, with whom I worked years ago. (These are extra-curricular pursuits, of course!) I think I left rather abruptly some years ago after my little tussle with Mr. Beardface (a case of "Culpus Interruptus"? Oh, I am sorry!) but I think I can safely say that will not be repeated -- we had a correspondence in which we settled our differences, and I think we've all grown up a little. I have been watching I Spy again lately, in chronological order, with the help of the new I Spy book (extremely informative and interesting, if a little uneven in the grammar department), and was thinking it might be interesting to write an overview of the second and third seasons, as I did concerning the first season, posted here some years ago, can't quite remember when...? At any rate, the forum is very enjoyable, as usual, Ms. Tatia has really evolved into a Multimedia Mistress and continues to guide the room with a humorous and sweet sensibility. Nice to be here, and talk to you soon.
Regards,
Dotterer
p.s. The little sketch up on top happens to be a satirical sketch of me by our own Mr. Beardface. I bet he thought I'd never see it -- he left it behind after one of our rehearsals nearly 20 years ago. Just thought I'd put it there to show I do have a little sense of humor about my little old portly self!
"Land sakes alive!" as I am sure Auntie Alta would exclaim!
I go away for a long week-end, and - lo and behold - what surprises await on my return.
Well ....
back, Mr. Dotterer .....
How nice to have you return to the "I SPY" FORUM .... and how nice to know that both you and Mr. Beardface have been out there following us.
It's even nicer to know that you two have "settled your differences." We are delighted to hear from you both - and look forward to a resumption of our most interesting conversations. We have some delightful new (and some not so new ) voices over here keeping the flame alive for all things "Culp," "Cosby" and, of course, "I SPY" !!!
We would indeed enjoy reading your overviews of Seasons 2 and 3. Since your last visit, we have moved up to Network54's "Premiere" level and now have access to their comprehensive "search" feature. If you want to find anything in your past postings, just type in your name. And yes, we also are now able to avail ourselves of the "wonders" of screen captures - which Ms. Tatia here enjoys to no end!!
I would be remiss in not adding a most hearfelt welcome back to my old sparring partner Dotterer - Yes, we did achieve a kind of detente or at the very least, a rapproachment. I can promise the group he is an asset to the forum, as his knowledge of "I Spy" and Mr. Culp are not only formidable, but also educational.
Welcome back, Dotterer.

Ah, my friend, in fine form, as usual; just as I remember you -- the master of overstatement! Surely my knowledge of Mr. Culp is in no way as formidable as yours! My knowledge only derives from what I gleaned from getting to know Jason all those years ago, and what I have gleaned in my casual but consistent study of the series itself and the stories surrounding it (aided, as noted earlier, by the new I Spy book - very informative in spite of its lapses). At any rate, thank you and Becca and dear Tatia for your hearty welcome! Let the exchange begin!
p.s. Not to be didactic, but I think you meant "rapprochement", not rapproachment -- maybe you had REPROACHING on your mind!
