Catching up on eBay here (and some other spots) .... so for your entertainment and edification,
here are a few interesting and different items I've stumbled across.

The first one is a set of 2 vinyl Promo Records from 1964 of short interview clips by many of the top stars of the 60s.
They were made for radio, and the eBay ad doesn't really explain what they were promoting. Here's a list of the celebs featured:

Peter Sellers
Robert Culp
Don Siegel
Frankie Avalon
Angie Dickinson
Alfred Hitchcock
George Saunders
Ivan Tors
Ronald Reagan
Sean Connery
Tippi Hedren
Nancy Kwan
Sandra Dee
Rod Taylor
Richard Burton
Connie Francis
Stan Musial
Deborah Kerr
Lee Marvin
Robert Morse
John Huston
Ross Hunter
Annette Funicello
Robert Goulet

The auction information reads:

Each record features 12 different film stars in short interview clips for broadcast in radio spots of roughly a minute and a half. These spots were produced by the United Broadcasting System Syndicate in Hollywood and shipped out to radio stations across the country for broadcast. different TV and film stars in short interview clips for broadcast in radio spots of roughly a minute and a half. These spots were produced by the United Broadcasting System Syndicate in Hollywod and shipped out to radio stations across the country for broadcast.

They are asking $24.99 plus $5.00 shipping - and the auction ends Nov. 18.

The next one is something I've never seen before - a pair of Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice BOOKENDS!! - from the well-known ceramic and fine china company - Fitz & Floyd. Needless to say, the auction calls this one "Rare"!

Yep, heads on one - toes on the other .

O.K. so they captured them "in spirit" ....

Here's the auction - they are asking $9.99 to $12.65 shipping (I hate when they lower the price and jack up the shipping) and it ends on Nov. 19th.)

And the next one is a DVD of all 13 episodes of Sam Peckinpah's THE WESTERNER - starring Brian Keith. Our Bob was in an excellent episode called "Line Camp" ... this was a really great series, way ahead of its time!! It truly was the epitome of the adult, dark, thinking Western ...

I have rarely seen Culp's episode up for auction, let alone the whole series. But it now appears to be out on DVD (or this guy did a great job on the graphics for the cover).

They are asking $14.99 plus $4.00 shipping - for 13 episodes on 4 DVDs - and the auction ends on Nov. 22nd.

And last (but of course, not least) ....

Here's an update Press Release from early November on the audiobook "McKnight's Memory" starring Robert Culp, Nancy Kwan, David Hedison, Henry Silva, Don Stroud, Alan Young, Edd Byrnes, and Gary Lockwood - and narrated by Frank Sinatra Jr.

This is from the same guy who did the audiobook (really an audioplay) "Hard Rock Lovers" with Culp and Rod Taylor.

There still doesn't seem to be a release date, but it was listed as November 2007 at one time.

Here's the Press Release from Nov. 9th

Forget Your MARBLES ... We Now Have MAGNETS !!

November 27 2007, 11:38 PM

I followed up on those last interesting eBay offerings I posted .... in case you were curious as to what happened!

Yes, there's something for everyone out there, and apparently someONE for everything, too!!

Yup, someone did buy those I SPY Marbles ... for $4.95 +$1.50 shipping. Looks like the auction was won by a "marble collector."
Well, this sure adds one "unique" set to his collection.

The "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" Fitz and Floyd ceramic bookends had multiple bids and went for a total of $16.26 + $12.65 shipping.

Didn't "quite" capture them .... but the bookends were cute.

And Peckinpah's complete "Westerner" DVD set also had multiple bids and the winner won his prize for $48.75 + $4.00 shipping. As I mentioned, I had never seen anything like this set being offered before.

O.K. .... so now that we have moved on from marbles - how about an I SPY MAGNET - and not just any ordinary magnet mind you,
but an Argentinean "fridge" I SPY magnet. That's not something you see everyday, not even in Argentina!

The seller is asking $9.99 + 5.50 for international shipping ...... O.K. then!!

The dimensions are 9x6 cm (which is about 3 1/2 x 2 1/3 inches).

The end date is November 30th. I wish the seller "good luck" with this one!!

AND COMICS ....

November 28 2007, 11:51 PM

Here are 2 more I SPY eBay offerings ...

The first one is for a full set of ALL 6 I SPY COMICS. The seller is asking $9.00 + $4.60 shipping --- As I have demonstrated, time and again, my ineptitude regarding comic collecting, I would just say if you want the full set to read (and not keep as hermetically sealed collectibles) - this looks like a very good deal!! The seller has a 99.9% positive feedback rating, and the auction ends December 6th - and there is one bid already ....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250192515695

and for you eclectic collectors out there, here's another I SPY Comic, but this time in SPANISH. The seller is asking $9.99 plus $10.00 shipping to the U.S., and he has a 99.8% positive feedback rating. This auction ends Nov. 29th. So, arriba, arriba!!

As always,

Tatia (Your personal shopping consultant)

Oh that "Spy Business" ... here I am with Agent Chanetsov (after helping him pick out his new "Mannix" jacket) - He's considering purchasing some bird companions I wanted to show him. He was most impressed with the feathered friend I found for Hoby.
