Hi everyone!!

With the recent release of lots and lots of old TV show episodes on Joost, Hulu, VEOH, etc., there is a fun array to sample. And hopefully they will keep releasing more of these shows and more shows to the sampling that are out already ....

I just ran across this Alfred Hitchcock Presents from 1957 on hulu.com called
"A Man Greatly Beloved." It had an impressive cast - Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Hugh Marlowe, Evelyn Rudie - and a very young Robert Culp (who didn't get star billing in those days).

I had never seen this show offered anywhere before (like on e-Bay), but I must have seen it somewhere along the way, because it was vaguely familiar.

Two things I found most interesting - first that the story was by A.A. Milne (yes, the Winnie-the-Pooh A.A. Milne). Apparently several TV shows of that period relied on his writings. And the second was the appearance of Evelyn Rudie, the precocious little girl star who had also appeared as "Eloise at the Plaza."

Ms. Rudie and Eileen Baral (our "Leno" in I SPY's "Child Out of Time") were very much of the same mold - and - when I first saw "Child Out of Time" I thought that was who Leno was.

Apparently our Bob had a little too much of precocious little girl actresses, but thankfully Scotty was there to help ...

I can’t resist a direct appeal Tatia, so here are some answers to your quiz from the earlier post.

A. It’s All Done With Mirrors – Dr. Karolyi
B. Bet Me A Dollar – Dr. Munoz
C. ???
D. Anyplace I Hang Myself Is Home – Dr. Akvic

Before giving me too much credit, I knew the episode titles, but peeked on IMDB for the doctor’s names (I only looked with one eye).

I found an interesting biography of Evelyn Rudie (the child in A Man Greatly Beloved) here:

Good work Jimmy and Becca!!

Yes, Kelly's personal medical team included ....

~ ~[A] Dr. Karolyi & Nurse Vanessa (It's All Done With Mirrors) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ [B] Dr. Munoz (Bet Me A Dollar)

~ ~ ~ [C] Dr. Benoris (Leo Penn in A Room With a Rack) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ [D] Dr. Akivic (Anyplace I Hang Myself is Home)

I sure hope the Department's insurance plan didn't pay Dr. Karolyi and Dr. Akivic in full!

As always,
