From my daily "Robert Culp" Google Alert:

http://speaker2animals.livejournal.com/535960.html

"Andrew stopped by to interrupt my studies with his latest DVD purchase, the first season of the classic 60's television show, "I Spy". The first season featured several episodes filmed in Japan, in particular: "The Time of the Knife" which was filmed in the Ueno shopping district we both had explored while in Japan last year. In this episode, Robert Culp (as international tennis star Kelly Robinson) crosses the street at an intersection with a train bridge, traffic lights, passes a postal box and turns in to a rail station... "Okachimachi Station".

I immediately recognized that intersection, pulled out my MacBook Pro, fired up iPhoto and under the Ueno collection found.... yes a couple photographs of that very intersection, postal box and rail station, now a JR Rail station. Incredibly so much of that intersection has remained the same since I Spy was filmed in 1965 right down to the postal box.

Just incredible..."

The show sparks excitement all over the world!

Funny enough Mona,

I was just there yesterday! I have been busy playing tour guide to some friends from the States. Even more amazing is that , they are staying at the New Otani Hotel.....I do have to say that Bob was correct, it is quite a dump for today's standards. So, it does go full circle all the time!

cheers to all.
