The only person that can't be recast - as far as I'm concerned - is Alice.
All the others - Kristian, Deidre, any of them could be recast just fine. I used to think no one could replace Melissa's Jennifer - but they did and I got used to her. I still think Melissa brings something special to the character that no one else could, but I'd accept a replacement in time - I did once, I can again.
All these actors are special and bring something special to their roles, but their not irreplaceable. Any good actor could replace them and I'd accept them.
It's funny but on Y&R, after I don't know how many years of Jack being played by the guy who plays him (don't remember his name) I still see him as the replacement. When you love an actor in a role, and they leave that role, I don't think you ever really get over them, but you learn to accept the new guy. |
