First off the cast is already to big. Second Days has avoided Peter Blake for years. Days isn't going to bring Jason Brooks back and we all know why? Peter will not me returning thats for sure. Love these insiders. Mimi was suppose to have the baby and get married and that ain't happening either.
I tend to agree especially if Peter were played by J.B. I am under the impression that won't happen as long as Missy Reeves is there, although maybe I just read to many tabloids
That whole thing between MR and JB was all speculation. The reason Peter has not returned for so long is because the actor has taken on other projects and wasnt persuing a return to days.
anyways, TPTB have changed their mind on peter...however, i can promise you there will be some interesting characters in the holding cell
Yes, the show needs someone into triangle with J/J. But I really doubt it will be Peter. First, the show forget Jennifer was ever married with him. Second, Peter is already totally explored character. There is no mystery about him anymore. We know who are his parents, we know his past, we know everything so it is very hard to base story. If you look at the show there is always some mysterious newbie, like Patrick, who is send away after we discover everything about him. Peter is like Patrick from the past whos past we already know. His only purpose on the show would be trying to brake J/J, but even that doesnīt give sense, because Peterīs story with Jennifer is closed. She knows he is bad, she really hated him at the end and there is no place for him as good character now, when we have Patrick. So sorry, but I will be really surprised if we ever hear Peterīs name on the screen again.
The Missy/Jason thing is not all speculation. How quickly they forget! When Missy abruptly left the show, SOD printed parts of the breach of contract lawsuit filed by the show, and it stated that "the incident" we are referring to did actually happen, as Missy told the show's execs about it in a phone call. The only part that is actually spec is who the other party was since Jason was not actually named.
This incident really did happen. It's not speculation at all. Her husband was livid and it was reported that he wanted her off the show. Beth's Days of our lives page address this "situation" because a lot of fans didn't understand why she quit a show she claimed to love at the height of her popularity.
Gawd no, Jack and Jennifer do not deserve a triangle, they tried repeatedly and it was a bust. It is stupid to do it, as it is stupid to have the veterans couples in triangles. It smacks of hackneyed writing. They tried that with Colin and with Brandon and it just made people hate Jennifer. It did not work with Jennifer and Patty, even though folks thought Jack was dead -- as Patty and Hope, and Bo and Billie are not working.
Jack and Jennifer need to go back and steal back the paper and go back to investigative reporting. If there is a obstacle to their relationship, I rather it connect to Jack's past. A Deveraux comes to town and tries to seduce Jack back to being rich and powerful, Colin is murdered and Jennifer is the killer, or Abigail finds out about Jack's past -- or a combination of all these scarios.
I don't mean to be disrepectful, but just want to state my opinion on this. This incident happened almost 10 yrs. ago. The Reeves have worked very hard to put their marriage back together for themselves and their children. I think that takes a lot of fortitude and forgiveness. They have made it work. I respect them for that for it takes a lot to rebuild a marriage and make it work in our society today. A mistake was made, but a mistake was forgiven. My hat is off to the Reeves and that is how I want to remember them today, a BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!
They might bring the character back, but I don't think the actor.
There is a site called DataLounge that use to allow daytime threads (sadly not anymore). All sorts of scoops, and gossip was thrown around. Some of these people, apparently, were connected to some of the Soap Mags in NY. Anyway, the Reeves stuff came up, and here is the condensed version of what they said:
- The affair rumor was true, and so was the dressing room rumor
- The affair was with Brooks
- It was their belief that Tom Langan is the one who gave the details to the
press which made things worse
- Reeves husband went ballistic when he found out about the affair, and he
wanted her life out of the press
They also had alot to say about Days in general. According to them, it's been one of the worse soaps to work for since Langan. The only soap worse than Days is GH, which in their words was called a "den of vipers". Also, Tom Langan is an a$$-hole, and they could never figure out why he lasted so long, and they wondered about Corday's mental/emotional fitness
Say what you will about Data Lounge but you'd be surprised at how accurate their stuff is. Some of those people really excelled at ferreting out information and the fact that you could post anonomously made it easier to share inside stuff.
Oh, IA about DataLounge. It's a gay site, and alot of the insiders were connected to the gay community. It was hinted awhile ago that some of the gossip queens were employed by the soap rags. They still talk about the entertainment biz, just not Daytime. Daytime threads aren't allowed anymore. It's a shame how a few jerks wrecked the whole thing.
