I still watch the show thick and thin, I want better storylines better writting, and I think the show would be a better program. if their were new heads in the writting departmen. I don't blame Ken Corday, seems like a nice guy. I am glad he is trying to keep Days on the air but nbc could have hired someone else that Jim Reilly and his tacky storylines, I want better love making scene and not all the moaning and goffy faces, this is not a porn movie it's a soap opera! I am going to start writing on Days website and writting NBC/ Corday, to get Jerk fired and thrown out on his A##! I want more Matt Asfored, Missy Reeves, Thaoo John Anistion. Him and Peggie Mcay have a great chemsrty going on. Shawn and Belle need to be back burned for awhile Dedree Hall needs better matrial. I say go ahead with Lauren and Drake pairing they have great spark, I want Sami and Lucas to be married and no enterfernce, I still want them to be front and center. Back burn they trashy Lockharts, I like Rex but write him a better way I want Days like it was in the 80's and 90's. I t is so hard to be a Days fan when everybody hates the show so much and when I stick up for it I get a funny look from people I always say it will get better, their is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I agree with most of your post, and I do want Deidre Hall to get better material, but first she has to get some screen time. Also, I want it to be with Drake. I love J&M and I would love to see their story move forward by showing them rebuilding their relationship after all that has happend this past year. There is so much emotion and history between them and I would like to see that exploited. I hope other fans would also get at least some of what they want. It is such a turn off to never get any payoff at all. The past 6 months have been trying to say the least.
I've hardly been watching the show. Especially not full episodes. But I don't know if it's the show or if it's me, because I don't necessarily think it's awful. It's not great, but I've seen worse. I just find myself not feeling like watching it.

I haven't been too thrilled with all the writing so I'm TRYING to get into MELASWEN. I fast-forward through Phelle, Jawn (more like Yawn), Kate, Sami..etc..etc. in real Salem.
They are the worst recycled storylines over and over at Real Salem. I only watch the Island Adventure and even that isn't the best..but IMO, getting a little more interesting...enough to make me watch those scenes.
I've been watching this show for a long time and it just gets worse and worse every day. Back in the Summer when we all thought someone like Caroline might be the MM it had such promise and now -- what a letdown. Am I the only one who is really, really disappointed? I feel like we've all been used and taken for a ride. About the last thing I wanted to see was a repeat of Psycho with someone's blood being drained. This is too gruesome for me.
I am not disappointed, I hated JER from back in 1993 for the way he butchered the show then and made it a joke made me know he would do the same this time around. Though even I am surprised at how much worse it is now, more pathetic, sloppy, misogynistic, ageist, anti-romance, anti-famiily, and how he perverts serious issues to further his boring, gimmicky plots. No matter how ridiculous the demonic possession story was, and I thought nothing could be as stupid, this is a million times worse.
I'd have to agree. I've been watching Days for a while now.. since 95' or something.. same stories getting a bit boring.. and you all have ruined Belle and Shawn to some more stupid long drawn out story lines.
