Tony or Andre?

October 28 2004 at 6:54 PM

I'm starting to think that Tony isn't responsible for the island mess. Yesterday's DAYS gave me the idea that Andre is the guilty one, ruining all of their lives.

Yesterday, "Tony" was telling John the reason he built the island. He says that he did it for Kristen. John stole Kristen and Tony wanted revenge. "Tony" also noted that he finally found a way to one-up John Black. HE DID NOT SUCCEED IN PLANNING JOHN'S EXECUTION FOR HIS MURDER IN AREMID.

Now if you remember, when Tony returned to Salem in 2002, he claimed that it was Andre, not Tony, who was killed in Aremid. The show reminded us of how strangely Tony acted towards his first death. He smoked and was very hateful. This Tony that we are watching every day is no Tony DiMera. Tony actually had a heart, it was pretty dark and cold, but he had a heart. He would never have killed his father, the idle of his life.

I came to the conclusion that Andre didn't really die in Aremid like Tony thought. Andre went to Melaswen to build New Salem. Andre might have been given orders by Stefano to do so, maybe not. Tony was really sent to recuperate in some country while in the coma. Andre had 10 years to build the island and plan his enemies' demise. When Tony was attacked by Maya's goon in 2003, he was comatosed in University Hosptial. Then, on the night of the tragic Basic Black fashion show, Bo and Hope were attacked, and Tony was nowhere to be found. How could a injured man just walk out of bed?

I'll tell you how, all of the confusion with Bo and Hope gave Andre enough time to switch places with Tony. The doctor assinged to DiMera's room was on the DiMera payroll and was assigned to "lose" Tony. Andre was placed in Tony's bed and Tony was sent to heal his serious stab wounds.

I also am skeptic on whether to believe Stefano is really dead. Andre could be that evil and kill his uncle, but the pheonix always rises from the ashes.

Later down the road, when Thaao Penghlis returns from his time off, Tony will return to Salem with hopes of seeing the ones he hasn't for so long. John, Bo and the others will want Tony's neck for the torture he put them through on the island. Of course Tony will have no idea what they are talking about. After hearing the tragic events that took place over the past two years, Tony will plead his innocence. Tony just wants to get back to his children, Rex and Cassie. Everyone will be puzzled by his wish. Rex and Cassie are Roman's children, not Tony's. Tony claims he didn't know this and when he was stabbed, they were still believed to be his and Marlena's. It will take John to go back into his mind and pull out every detail from his fight with Tony. He will remember the burns on "Tony's" arms. They look like cigarette burns. He will also recall the way Tony acted when recalling his father's death. Unwillingly, John must come to face that a DiMera is actually innocent...this time.

good. Actually I have wonder about this also. Tony keeps saying that he wants to prove that he is a true Dimera. But Tony has never been this evil in his whole life. I hope that it turns out this way. It would be wonderful.

I also think this is not Tony, but Andre. Didn't he put

a cigar in his mouth right before the "died" last time. And that is how Thaoo explained it on his board that it was Andre because Tony would never smoke a cigar. I thought aout that when he put that cigar in his mouth this time. I also though his eyebrows were different. I have never noticed his eyebrows being that bushy before. Anyone else notice that?

I am hoping that he will have the same out this time, but I worry that JER will write around it. He seems so determined to get rid of Tony.

Here's hope it is Andre.

...with all of this. This is getting ridiculous. And, Tony orchestrating this whole thing just so he could blow himself up in a room and have everyone else escape? That was one of the stupidest climaxes to a Dimera plot I have ever seen. I hope they make this Andre somehow. Of course, after JER leaves, since he insists on destroying Tony's character.
