Bonnie's Patch was a sign?

I take it was a sign that Steve is coming back and was a clue. I am starting to like Bonnie. Also Tex said Patch name but I think he really mean Patrick.

I wondered about that too when I saw the Patch! Could it be a hint? Or just me hoping?

Oh, man, I thought that too! That's the woman who used to play Patch's sister Adrienne wearing a patch on her eye...is it a hint, a clue or a cruel joke on those of us who remember the character and are hoping for his return?

Or maybe it means nothing at all...just part of the costume. Maybe if she was a pirate I would think it's part of the costume....what's she supposed to be, anyway? She looks great. I'm liking the character more too.

I immediately made such a connection, too. However, for a writer like Reilly to be so subtle would require deep thought and real caring. So, I shrugged it off!

I wish.

I think Reilly thought he was being cute. You know, Bonnie was Adrienne who was Patch's sister. I could hear his voice in my head, "I could have made her Adrienne, but you would have liked that wouldn't you? Zap! She's not Adrienne! She's Bonnie the UberTrailer-Park Mamma! Bwhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

Wow

You are right, WHY have Bonnie/Adrienne [Patch's sister] wear the Patch, when any
one could have worn it? Was there a reason? Who is that one-eyed woman? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Plus, attention was brought to it by her flipping it up. My, my, my!!! VEDY INTERESTING, INDEED?

JER thinks he is being funny, and he never is, as he never is dramatic, or romantic, or loving. It is no difference than that stupid scene just after Jack's death between Jennifer and Bonnie talking about Adrienne.

JER refuses to write for his talented actors, and is bringing back all the stupid characters people were glad they left. So, I seriously doubt JER meant anything other than tormenting the fans making them hope it meant something. Were Steve to return Jack would have mentioned him during one of his tri-monthly, two-minute appearances.

I think we read too much into these things because we want Patch back so much. I thought the same thing, but then again JER loves playing mind games doesn't he?

The writters did make where Steve did not have to wear the patch at all. I was wondering when she pulled it up if it was to remind viewers of the character.

Actually when Steve went undercover to find information about Faith's father the white supremist he did have an operation and was able to were an artificial eye (early 89). The fans and Steve Nichols hated Steve without the patch. So, during the stuff with Marina Toscano Steve was attacked when trying to help her find so information about the treasure -- I believe this happened in Italy. In the attack his eye socket was severely damaged. Steve stumbled home, and Jack found Steve seriously injured and rushed him to the hospital. Marcus Hunter told Jack and Jo that because of the injury to the eye socket Steve could not continue to use the artificial eye (this was in approx. the fall of 89). Kayla had was in hiding because she had discovered Steve was still married to Marina, made worse because Steve had never told her about Marina. So, actually it was only less than a year that Steve was sans patch.

So when Steve "died" he definitely was wearing the patch.
