I am watching Fridays episode on Soapnet and the new Abby calls Julie Aunt Julie, I think Julie is Jennifers cousins and Julie would be Abby seconed cousin.

Their must be somethin going on in the writting department, this has happend four times in last few months.

Addie is Julie, and Hope's mother, Bill is Jennifer's father -- Addie and Bill were sister and brother, sharing the same parents, Tom and Alice. Julie definitely is Abby's cousin. I found it silly that Abby was staying with Julie, in the past, even when Jack was alive and Jennifer was not missing, she spent quite a few days and nights with Jack's mother Jo, and his step-father Vern. She loved to stay with them, and even vowed to move in with them when Jack "died" and she blamed Jennifer for pulling the plug and not waiting -- and she was right too.

I think the fact that there is no more mention of Jo that it proves that Steve is not returning anytime soon. Jo would be a vital character if Steve returned. I do not see Jo returning, nor Vern, even when Jack returns (and with JER that probably will not be until February 2222).

I think because of the confusion of the relationship, most call her aunt Julie, because of her marriage to Doug.

Also, in some areas it is tradition to call a close family member Aunt/Uncle if there is a generation or two between them even if there are a cousin. I had a few older cousins like that when I was a child.

Heck, I had more honorary Aunts and Uncles then I did real ones and most were related to me at all.

I meant to say most were NOT related to me.

when belle was talking to sami about the missing family she said your grandma caroline then she said your cousin cassie...if roman is their dad then they would be sisters not cousins. did anyone else see that?

There have been episodes way back when Caroline still considered John and Marlena a part of the Brady family even when Roman was part of the equation. So thats what I am thinking about Belle saying that to Sami. Cause its not like John has a mother, and Caroline was a mother-figure to him.

Well, thats how I remember it ... its been awhile though. I could be wrong on a few accounts.

Actually, I think the poster meant that Belle was talkign about Sami's relationship to Cassie, and possibly thought it was hint that John was really her father. I think it was just a slip up in the writing.

Was yesterday when Belle tells Sami that they need to worry about the others that are missing..." your Grandma Caroline, COUSIN Cassie.." Cassie is her sister not cousin.

Maybe it was a slip up by the actress. Since Julie is so much older than Jen, maybe she assumed Julie was Jen's aunt. I noticed on All My Children everyone keeps referring to JR and Jamie as brothers, which if memory serves me they were at one time step brothers but are now no longer related.
