Nothing against the actor great on Gh, but he is no Mickey Horton Days really messed up when casting him in the part Bring back John Clarke on recuring or wright the chracter back or bring Bill Horton back for Maggie.
Agreed, he's just terrible (as is what has been done to the character). He needs to go off with Bonnie for a few minutes, then return as John Clarke (aka Real Mickey), say he just gave Bonnie the boot, beg Maggie's forgiveness (explain he'd gone temporarily insane) and reunite with Maggie! (Ingle and Bonnie never to be seen again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I think he has trouble with his lines, I do not like what has happend to micky Horton at all. He act like Maggie was never in his life and he seems to have really lost his mind. I agree, send him off the santerium and after a few months John Clarke will be Micky.
I think it is totally the writers not the actor. If they gave him something decent it would make a difference.
I don't think there will ever be anyone who can replace John Clarke and they should have only had a replacement for as long as they needed to see Mickey off into the sunset, but they didn't and I don't think that is the actors fault.
I believe John Clarke retired for both professional and personal reasons. He saw the writing on the wall and got out with his integrity in tact.
Why on earth would he come back to this sinking ship??
I think the best that can happen now is that Mickey Horton dies, really dies by Spring and Maggie moves on as a single woman with all the class she has and shows Salem how its done!!
I think the main reason they cast John Ingle as Mickey was because they knew the direction they were going to be taking the character of Mickey. Granted, this is NOT the way Clark's Mickey would act, but I DO see a lot of Edward Quartermain in this Mickey. John Ingle is an excellent actor and is doing the best with the inane storyline they have given him. Jed Allen is also doing the same thing over on GH. It is absurd they would cast someone that young to play Edward. Same concept, just in reverse.
