I am sick of people doging the show when the actors are giving their all, I think the show deserves more credit than it has got on the websites. Carolyn Hensey from Soap opera Digest said the reuions were good. I thank her for giving Days some good press.

I agree, the actors/actresses are doing a good job w/ what is given to them, but the writing is the thing that sucks (tho, I must admit, there is some good sl's right now)

DAYS does NOT deserve good press. It is sad that the critics are too scared to tell the truth, fearing the Mimi Torchin effect. The show is terrible. The actors who deserve artime are not getting any or very minual airtime. The writing is wretched, there is no romance, no love betwen characters, everyone is a cartoon caricature. DAYS needs to be outted for the sad state it is; the critics need to complain about the treatment of the veterans. So I DISAGREE. Letting the status quo continue will only hurt DAYS. The show's only hope is for someone to ADMIT there is MAJOR problems, because then maybe NBC will finally force changes and repair the show. Otherwise, the show may not be around much longer.

I think Corday is far to arrogant to ever admit he has allowed JER to ruin Days. But in fact that is exactly what has happened!

Days sucks! Why would I praise a show where every character is being writen so out of character I hardly recognize them. Every couple on the show is headed for a triangle, which is asinine! J&M, J&J, and Bope are far beyond triangles.

Why would I praise a show that shows the Scooby Doo Gang most of the time so that we hardly ever see Marlena, Jack, and many other popular vets. The younger crowd cannot carry this show and the ratings prove that.

The actors deserve credit and I dont recall seeing anyone bashing the actors.
I respect any actor who can perform those scripts with a straight face and not say "What da hell?"

JER needs to be fired!

I for one AGREE....I love the show, and I wish that it got more good press than it does too. I've talked to quite a bit of other people who like the show right now too and never miss a day of watching it, I just wish everyone would be happy, but it's a soap and that's never gonna happen so oh well!

EVERYONE cannot be happy, true. However, in JERk's DAYS' NO ONE IS HAPPY. Everyone is offensive to each other. I would like to know who your fans are, because the vast majority of the boards feel the show is in dire jeopardy of not making it much longer because it is so badly written and produced. There are no happy viewers at any of the SOD and SOW chats. The moderators have a very difficult time of trying to cheerlead the fans because all the fan bases are disgusted.

I think the ratings are a big gage and they are terrible. DAYS is in 7th place out of nine shows, and guess what is in 9th -- PASSonit. I cannot understand how Kalouria, an alleged businessman and network executive can be impressed with those ratings. They are losing millions of advertising revenue because of the sad state of the shows' ratings. That means the network is losing money.

I'm usually not one to complain, but I've been watching Days for some 15 years and I'm not going to keep quite about the trajedy that the show has become. Characters are unbeliveably out of character, the storylines are redundant, and unoriginal. The only conflict JER knows how to write are triangles. I mean WTF, he can't come up with a storyline for Mickey and Maggie, so he decides to put him out of character and then create a triangle. C'mon. And the only way he knows how to get them out and in of these triangles is by sending them away from Salem (Everyone on the island, Shawn, Philips going to war, Bo's going to Europe). Held captive on an island, held captive in a cage, held captive in a castle. Am I making my point? Don't get me wrong there have been storylines and plots that JER wrote that were interesting, but there all pointless if our Days characters are no longer Days characters. When did Jennifer become so whiny and dumb. Jack and Jennifer are my favorite couple....scratch that...Matt and Melissa as Jack and Jennifer are my favorite. I think Melissa is doing a good job, but the dialogue is terrible. Does anyone care for Belle/Shawn/Phillip? I am the same age as the characters and man am I glad I don't have friends like them! All they do is throw hissy fits. The same ones over and over and over. Phillip is such a meathead! He's okay with his fiancee meeting up with her ex to decide who she wants to be with ("let me know if he takes you back, if know so we can get married") Not to bash the actor, I think he's believable, but still a meathead. Everyday we get more of Shawn and less of Jack. Do we have to go thru this Bo/Hope/Billie triangle AGAIN! The reunions were good but still a let down. Did anyone tell Rex about Cassie? What about Shawn Brady Sr.? I do give credit for Sami's moment with Abe. That was a nire rare scene. We need more of that. JER should be fired and so should Carolyn Hensey for taking one decent episode out of context and being dishonest. Who needs critics when you have message boards. Enough of me and my soap box....here's a link to a petition to get JER fired! I don't know if it'll work, but something has to be done. Everyone should take a few minutes of there busy schedule and also write a handwritten letter and mail it to the producers, before Matt Ashford gets frustrated and walks out on us (or gets fired yet again).
