The return of Victor should or will necessitate the resolution of Jan and Nicole's murder attempt or will Victor just make their lifes a living hell similar to what he did to Sami after the botched Austin wedding in Vegas. And what about Nicole's involvement in Marlena's death while in jail. How will Grandpa Shawn handle Caroline spending all that time alone with Victor?

Instead of constant flashbacks perhaps JER will consider writing stories to end all the loose ends and eliminate all the unnecessary characters he added to Salem.

I wouldn't count on JER tying up too many loose ends -- he loves to leave you hanging. However, I'm not sure everyone will survive anyways. I think Mickey will choose Maggie in the end and Bonnie will give them fits. I also think Caroline will be "torn between two lovers" and this could give those 3 a front-burner storyline. I'm also still betting that Caroline WILL be a DiMera.

It is JERk, I doubt he will resolve anything to an degree of statisfaction. He will come up with a quick explanation which completely contradicts what has occurred. The couples will reunite during one, maybe a handful of episodes, and there will be no conflict. He only writes gimmicks and not character driven plots. Notice how he denograted the whole Maggie/Mickey thing by not really doing any emotional examination of the situation but turned it into a vulgar, moronic farce, which is not in the remotest funny. I doubt we will see any real poignant story evolving Caroline emotional confliction over her feelings for Shawn Sr. and Victor. JERk is ageist and refuses to write anything for older actors, notice how the characters are rarely seen.
