I lost interests with Days bigtime, I am glads I did right thing tuned it out in first place, because it's getting bored Days just become like Passions 2,
what soap you watch beside Days ? I love Rerun Another World and Knot Landing on Soapnet, Another World getting good lately, I been watch it since on Soapnet, I think Classic Soap are much better than today's soap, I hope someday Soapnet put my another favorite soap like Santa Barbara,Texas,Search for Tomorrow, need get rid's primetime Soaps like Dynasty,MP,90210,Dallas just Keep Knot landing, make more room for those Soaps, why they dont put Y&R on Soapnet ? Y&R is # 1 top Rating all the time, Y&R and Days is own by Sony, I think Y&R should be on Soapnet in first place instead Days, I dont mind's see "Classic Days" from 81's to '92 those was Glory's of Days before Re-Reilly. watch Another World dont hold Candle like today's soap, Knot Landing are best I think KL are much better than Dallas,

I get bored very easily to. When Broe is not on I tend to watch reruns of Another World and will watch All my Children. I can't take hearing over and over again how Jan is holding the abortion over Mimi, Sami hating everyone, Belle saying but I'm married to Phillip etc. I think that Days is the only soap that is slow moving.
I'm biased when it comes to "Days", even though I haven't been watching much lately (hoping it picks up soon). Daytime soaps in general are not really my cup of tea when it comes to entertainment. So no, "Days" has not been replaced nor will it ever be replaced by another daytime soap. If it's anything it's "Days", if it's nothing it's nothing.
I get much more enjoyment out of the classic prime time soaps on SOAPnet. I love SOAPnet for that. I wouldn't mind checking out the old soap "Texas" because it takes place in my hometown and there's nothing funnier than stereotypical, cartoonish Texans. I think the old '70s/early '80s daytime soaps might be fun to watch. And I'd welcome a rerun of "Sunset Beach".
I also loved Sunset Beach. Days and Sunset were the favorites at this house. I'm ready to drop Days though. I've had enough of the flashbacks and repeat dialog after 30 years of watching.
I did like seeing the sister from Sunset on Day's recently (Crystal). Also liked the lead lady but have forgotten her name. She's disappeared....
Anyway, what they're doing to Sami and Lucas just bothers me to no end. I've had enough broken couples to last me. Too many at once. Poor story writing no matter how good the actor, just doesn't cut it.
I was so excited when Days first came on Soapnet in March of last year! I used to watch it everday at 7pm. Now however, I'm down to about one day per week - if that.
If TPTB ever visited a kindergarden and recited the alphabet, A would be on January 1st and Z would be on December 31st....(2 years later). - Mostly because they'd keep flashing back to the previous letter in the alphabet before moving on.
I still watch Days some, but I don't mind missing it as as long as I can catch the EE on Dustin's site or even part of the current day on Soapnet. But honestly, I am much more into Desperate Housewives and Lost. I CARE what happens on those shows!
I am watching AMC now instead of Days. Nothing on Days entertains me now. I read EE to see if there is a Jack sighting and then maybe I will catch it on SoapNet. I care nothing for the stories or most of the characters now.
No, I have watched Days of our lives for years. I have seen it in good times and bad. My Daytime lineup is full and I not going to replace Days with another soap.
Desperate Housewives and Lost, now THERE is some good writing. I keep hoping that Days will bounce back, but hope is fading with each new day. I get so sick of the same lines, flashbacks, stupid people and stupider plots that I do go to Cable and watch Animal Planet. I think I'm getting hooked. ha ha
It was hard to give up Days, I have been watching for 20 years, but I just couldn't stand it anymore. Sometimes when I am home I watch AMC. Other times when I am home I use that hour to take a nap. I do get Soap Opera Digest so I skim through every soap to see if anything interesting is going on. If any soap seems good I either watch it or tape it. The only thing I watch regularly is GH.
I'm tired of waiting for NBC's fixation on the shallow, annoying and one-dimensional 21 year olds to pass, so I quit watching. After 17 years, I no longer watch Days when it airs, tape it, or watch it on Soapnet. If they decide to start featuring Jack and Jen, Abe and Lexie, Marlena and John and others as frontburner and put Shelle and their buddies in a SIDE STORY where they belong, then I'll tune in again. If not, I'm done.

I totally agree with you, I love GH. I am glad they are focusing less on the mob stuff, that was getting boring. And if Days would stop focusing on the twenty year-olds, new character no one cares about and Kate, and start focusing more on people that actully have some common sense then I would start watching it again. I stopped watching Days because of the countless fantasy scenes and flashbacks, I mean there were so many that I didn't know what was real and what was a dream anymore. Hopefully the old Days come back soon.
Yes, I finally gave them up. Boring writing and storylines. So tired of repeat, repeat, repeat and flashbacks! Couldn't take it any longer, even taping it. I've been watching since 1972, I quit. I hate the writing but loved the actors.
ive gone through spells in the past where i quit, but for the last few i usually tape it even if i fast forward through most of it, i hate all other soap operas, just not my thing, i like days cuz its different and off the wall, though i did love sunset beach for awhile
