: From the newest SOD:
: Fans are still in an uproar over Deidre Hall's lack of screen time on Days. What's the deal?
: "Jim [Reilly, head writer/consulting producer] wants to build other stories," explains Executive Producer Ken Corday. "He doesn't want to bring her out of the castle, so you will see her once or twice a week with Roman and Tony. He wants to hold off and play her big when she comes back in the spring -- and summer."
: But viewers suspect there's more afoot and that Hall is slowly being written out of Salem.
: "She's not leaving the show," Corday insists. "She will have as equally an important role as she has ever had in the show. It's just a period of time where the story has to be built. She re-signed with the show, for Pete's sake. It's a locked deal. She isn't going anywhere."
: Corday is aware of the fans ire, however. "I'm afraid to go into any e-mails or Internet chat rooms because my ears burn," he admits. "I know what's going on. I know they want to see more of her. She (Deidre) wants to see more of her. It will happen. And the fans have to be patient."
