I have heard that an actor by the name of Dan Wells will be coming on the show later in the month to reprise the role of a "well-known" character. I believe that would be Eric Brady. And I am extremely happy that Eric will be returning to the show! I hope Dan does Eric well. In addition, does anyone know Alison Sweeney's child is due?
while id LOVE to believe that the character of eric is coming back, spoilers and previews prob. wouldve leaked about it by now, id be shocked if DAYS went to that much trouble to keep erics return a secret, i mean look how much they let leak about the much hyped salem stalker stuff, i think this dan guy is more than likely just a temporary recast for someone, he looks alot like brady, so thats my guess
unless...theyve had this dan guy just tape scenes with ali for when she goes on maternity leave, if sami runs off to be with her twin after the lumi disaster, that would make sense and that would explain why it hasnt been in any previews/spoilers, god i hope thats true, but im still doubtful...
DaysDude, we're not getting spoilers and leaks like we used to! Since last fall there's been an almost complete lockdown on info.
Part of the reason is because so much stuff did leak out, especially about the SSK storyline. So I can totally see where they'd bring Eric back and no one would know more than a few days in advance.
hmmm, now that i think of it i guess youre right, i guess the reason why i thought we get less spoilers is cuz nothings happening, lol, there just hasnt been anything to spoil for awhile, hope its eric
I have read on many message boards that Dan Wells will portray a well known character....from all indications Sami will be leaving for Europe this week....or at least books her plane ticket. There is a lot of speculation that Sami will stay in Salem (aka Dan Wells) and will masquerade around town as Eric to get the goods on Kate and Eugenia.
It says that Dan will only be temporary for 3 months (Ali will be gone for 3 months on maternity leave.) So Ali will be gone, but Sami will be onscreen as Eric. Maybe after the 3 months and if all goes well, Eric will be a big hit and maybe Dan will stay and play the "real" Eric once Ali is back.....Does any of this make sense???
oh my god, that would be AWESOME, that would be the most unpredictable and unexpected and creative thing they've done in years. what a great way to give ali her maternity leave but still keep sami in the spotlight, plus how much fun would it be to watch, i hope thats true, my interest will totally peak again
Didn't something like this take place on Passions - it's just like JER to do re-writes, he may just do this on Days. It would be great to see Kate get whats coming to her, I just can't stand her anymore!!!
This whole Dan Wells playing Sami for 3 months would be an interesting twist - he would have this attraction to Lucas! Hey wasn't there rumors going around a while ago about Eric coming back and being gay! If Dan Wells is going to play Sami playing Eric and having an attraction to Lucas...could explain the whole "gay" thing....lol

I had forgotten about the Allistar twist on Passions! JerK may really do this storyline. It may redeem him in my eyes (for 3 months) if he does it right. If this Dan Wells can act, then maybe he will stay on as Eric.
