Wow all these good actors are going. Sad that the old hollywood "royalty" is gone. She was good in Gidget. She was the best gidget. As Olivia newton John sang- 'Goodbye to Sandra DEE" waaaa sucks.

she was so popular for many years and then just seemed to fade from view. I think I remembered reading she had a very troubled life, developed a fear to go out and struggled with mental illness for some time.

I hope she is at peace now.

She was also married to Bobby Darin for a few years in the early 60's. She was also in one of the Tammy movies. I realy like watching her movies when the mood strikes -- a more innocent day in Hollywood. RIP.
