Dee was interviewed backstage by t.v guide at the emmys and was talking about her storyline and Mrs. Hall said she was worried there for a while but things have calmed down and she said look for vetrens to be front and center this summer and returns from people we have not saw in a long while, I love Dee Hall! she is Days saving grace! also Hall said lots of romance.

I love Dee, but I think she has been misled. What is she supposed to say, "the show is only going to get worse. If you think the show stinks now, wait til you see what we have in store for you next!" They are telling us what they think will keep us watching.

She said they would be focusing on the supercouples and romance, or something like that. I think Corday knows they have to do something to try to bring viewers back. Ratings have been so low for so long, TIIC have to give the viewers what they want to see at some point. This doesn't mean things will stay good, but if they give me a couple good months, I'll tune in.

"focusing on the supercouples"? Ugh! Sorry, but since I assume that means John/Marlena, Bo/Hope and Jack/Jen to the exclusion of other cast members, I'm underwhelmed.

Don't get me wrong -- I love John and Jen and I like the others, but enough is enough! I'd like to see some of the younger couples' storylines developed to keep things fresh. And pay some attention to other cast members -- Victor, Caroline, Celeste, Lexie, Abe, Mickey & Maggie WITHOUT Bonnie -- maybe even Patrick and Billie. Days has a large cast; they should spread the airtime around, only with GOOD storylines for a change!

I'm afraid the definition of supercouples, especially over the summer which is traditionally teen storyline time, means Belle/Shawn-D, Mimi/Rex, Brady/Chloe.

Granted it probably means John/Marlena too (which is a shame, never have gotten into them as a couple).

PS I meant teen as in audience not characters, so please no comments on how they aren't teens.
