Well the only major celebrity from where I was born is Cal Ripken, Jr. not a daytime actor so if I claim Baltimore the major city in the area I find:

well, I only know of a few. Kyle Brandt was born near me Nancy Lee Graun from General Hospital and Justin Hartley from Passions all born around me in the Chicago area.

Well no one famous from soap opera's here, but Alanis Morrisette is our big star here in Ottawa, Canada. Beleive it or not, I actually met her at a Paula Abdul concert years ago (1989). Also actor Steve Martin and Matthew Perry are from Ottawa.

I thought Steve Martin was from Waco, TX. Maybe he grew up in Ottawa; I don't know.

My sister in law has a house boat docked at the same dock Kenny Chesney moms house boat is docked. Never met him though. I did meet his mom.

Jay Johnson (Ex Phillip) Is from Springfield MO

He isn't a soap star but Brad Pitt is also from Springfield MO, Jay Johnson went to the same school Brad Pitt went to. Brad Pitt graduated before Jay Johnson even went there though.
