I just read on Dustin's website that Wayne is coming back as a new character named Alex North and apparently you can read about it in next week's TV Guide...

Stefano donate some of his blood to Roman after he came back the last time. Maybe the Roman that is on now is related to Stefano somehow.
Apparently, Marlena is supposed to be really bugged by Alex North's resemblance to Roman before his "surgery." So, you never know, he may very well prove to be the real Roman, and Josh Taylor's Roman merely another DiMera pawn.
He will eventually turn out to be Roman. Just like Kristian Alfonso returned to play Gina and later turned out to be Hope so will "Alex North" turn out to be the real Roman and possibly Chris Kosichek had everyone fooled that he was Roman.........dumb I know...but I'm sure we're headed in that direction.
I don't remember FauxRo having had surgery. When the bandages came off (at Marlena's wedding to John), she recognized him as Roman. There was no questioning of who he was. How can she not have recognized Chris K sitting in that wheelchair? lol
I would just rather they swap actors and have NO explanation for change in appearance. They did it to Micky and Belle, why not Roman? OH the flashbacks they could show if they just flat out made him Roman!!
The surgery was in the 80's, long before Roman got sick. It was how they introduced Drake to the role. I really hope they make him Roman, Josh Taylor is great but he just doesn't do it for me. Viva la Wayne!!
