| Why did Patrick take his shirt off when Chelsea asked him to? |

Because JER wanted to see Patrick shirtless. JER is not only a shut-in, but a homosexual. It's also rumored that he's a virgin.
Explains a lot. |

jaw hangs down at prior comment That is just tactless. Virginity does not cause horrible writing . . . nor does any of those other comments I would imagine.
That is the sort of comment I would expect from JER. |

Of course it doesn't. However, his stories show a lack of experience in life. Nothing about his writing portrays any kind of understanding of anything. Not men, not women, not sex, not love, not children, not relationships, not work, not even emotions.
After watching both Days, and Passions, I'm going to go even further and say that he also has issues with religion, incest, and sex - including rape. I also believe he has a Madonna/Wh-re complex when it comes to women.

From what I gleen from his stories, the madonna archetype and the w**re archetype are basically the same, pathetic and worthless. He has a universal hatred of women; his misogynism is very scary and psychotic. He also seems to hate seeing couples in loving relationships. He has the reserve of an Oedipal Complex in that instead of lusting after his mother and mother-figures, he seems to hate all mothers -- thus all women since women represent motherhood. He seems to have psychotic hatred of people with any modicum of talent, thus backburning or firing the more talented actors. The only people he seems to give any support to are under-30 underwear models, who are more realistic shirtless than actually acting.

I take exception to this comment "... but a homosexual" ... Who cares if he is gay?? Do you hear yourself?? How reckless & ignorant of you to compare a writer to a whole group of people? Newsflash: a majority of Hollywood is run by those "homos" you speak of!!
Next time you attempt to make a lowbrow comment like above ... THINK! |

It's no secret that JER bats for the other team, and I'm sure he gets kicks out of seeing all these guys shirtless, but I think in his sick mind he thinks hot shirtless guys will hike the ratings. He must think we are all as shallow and sick minded as him. |

| Is JER really that twisted a human being | July 18 2005, 12:51 PM |
or is he just a really bad writer who can't write a story to save his life?
He really only has as much power as the owners of the show and NBC can give him, and somehow he convinced them he knows what he's doing.
You'd think that the fan dissent and subsequent fall in ratings would open their eyes.
Whether JER is gay, or a virgin or a shut-in has nothing to do with his ability to write. He could be all those things and still write a good story. All he is really lacking is the ability to write. You can write great descriptions of things you've never experienced if you're a good enough communicator. It's all about the words.
I've read so many classic novels that have amazed me with their vivid descriptions and plots, only to discover that the person who wrote them never left their family home and never had any of the experiences they wrote about.
You've got to admire a guy who is that horrible at his job and still able to keep his job for as many years as he has. Somebody's buying what he's selling. |

And its no secret that its none of your business either. "but I think in his sick mind he thinks hot shirtless guys will hike the ratings" .. well from the discussion boards its working with the teenaged girls. So does that make them all sick-minded and shallow like you described?
His writing is pisspoor and the storylines suck. Just cause he's gay doesn't have anything to do with this sophomoric writing.

I KNEW IT!!!
So, he's gay, but does that really matter?
I don't mind a shirtless guy here or there, but we've even seen some of the really older men shirtless men shirtless (i.e. Victor, Mickey...) Who's next? Shawn Sr.? No thanks.
And I'm SOOOO tired of seeing John shirtless because I just hate him so much.
I think Patrick has had his shirt off over half of all the episodes he's been in, and most of the time it's for no reason!!!
Guys on this show show should only be shirtless when they're in a love scene, or the occasional showers.
REILLY: STOP THE SHIRTLESS NONSENSE AND WRITE SOME NORMAL FREAKIN STORYLINES, IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK??? | |
