OK all, JMHO! We all agree that JERk is a horrible, pathetic excuse for a writer who couldn't write a good soap even at his best (if that's even possible). One of the things I hate about DOOL is the continuity of the show. It seems to me that JERk has done no research about this show at all and it shows through and through. He is making a mockery of it! When Frankie returned, there was no mention of Eve, Africa, or Carly, but he has all this time to follow Max around and is supposedly a lawyer? Second, the age continuity. If JERk knew anything about this show, he would realize that Max Brady is actually around the age of 25-30, yet he has him fooling around with teen-bopper Chelsea? Third, why are we forced to watch the D#@N Lockharts every day. Pathetic can't act, Mimi is getting on my last nerve, and Bonnie is just disgusting. I don't like Bonnie at all nor do I find her amusing. Why can't we just have Adrienne back to add more familial dimension to Jack? Speaking of which, why do we have Austin (Who in my book is the worst actor of all except for Patrick; absolutely useless. He is not even the slightest bit interesting), Frankie, and Max (who was forgot about for several years), yet we can't have familiar, core characters that we loved such as Steve, Kayla, Anna, Melissa, Justin, Eugene, Calliope, Kim and Shane? I am sick and tired of Reilly's new nonsense characters which is why I am not thrilled that Wayne Northrop is returning unless he really turns out to be Roman and faux-Roman Chris Kositchek. However, Reilly assures that Wayne won't be the real Roman. This now makes three characters that were on the show that are now playing new characters. I can't watch Bonnie without seeing Adrienne, Roman without seeing Chris K., and I bet I can't watch Alex North without thinking of the real Roman. Finally, where the heck are Victor and Caroline? Tony? Abe? Less of the teen S@#T and more of the core characters, please!!!!!!!!!! Then don't even get me started with Kate. Kate is the most pathetic, useless excuse of a character (opposite of son Austin) that I have ever seen in watching soaps. I hate her and hope she does have a downfall. I hope she loses everything, and I hope that John cleans up his act, too, otherwise, I could care less if he exited the show! And how about this, Patrick taking his shirt off for Chelsea the other day?? What is Reilly like some sick pedophile? That whole story just disgusted me. Then there's the nu-Mickey! I really miss John Clarke! I would have rather they killed Mickey off and paired Maggie with Victor if they needed to make a change. How is it that nu-Mickey looks just as old as Alice? Also, if I were Maggie, I so would have told Mickey where to go!!!!!!!! What the heck is next? Are they going to bring back fan favorite Stephen Nichols to be an alien; Wally Kurth as Justin K. only to find out he left Adrienne to pursue a career as a Japanese sumo-wrestler and now has the hots for Abby; perhaps Christie Clark as Sarah Horton's twin sister (there really isn't one), or maybe Reilly would try to be really bizarre by recasting the part of Tom Horton? I wouldn't put it past him, at all. Enough is enough, this show is being destroyed and we have to speak loudly to end it before it's too late. I just can't stand to watch anymore and have turned my focus on AMC and OLTL. Don't the voice of the fans account for anything?
I've tried to understand what in the world is NBC and Corday's attraction to Reilly. Ratings alone, even if they don't care about what fans think should tell TPTB something. Not counting the lack of continuity regarding past character's history. There is no continuity to ongoing storylines. Reilly is continuous having to switch story direction due to the fan disgust with what he is putting out there. He is always having to back track and correct what he has written in extremely poor taste and ultimately not entertaining. Why don't the producers see how disgusting his stories are
Days has an incredible amount of websites. You can't go to any of them and not read how disgusted and disrespectful fans are of Reilly's writing. Passions is in the dregs of the ratings. Many fans express how they loved past Days but don't watch it anymore, instead they cruise the plethora of Days sites trying to see if anything is going to improve the overall writing of the show. You would think that with the STRONG fan opinions about the negative value of cheesy, cheap sex dialogue and corny beefcake shots that someone in the writing department would get a clue and start developing meaningful relationships and dialogue. Everything in life is not motivated by cheap, meaningless sex. Towns do not limp along under the shroud of one omnipotent dark force and a has been prostitute. This wreaks of an adolescent male mentality and/or a male writer living in a fantasy because he has no real life experiences to draw from.

I was in shocks and I fell off my chair when I read this, I know how you feel Kris, that why I stopped watch Days last year, I missed what Days of our lives really about I missed old day with Mixed of Romance & Adventure wedding etc.... time for JER to hit out of door and comeback to his baby Passions where he is really belong.
without paying him the gazillion dollars they would owe him as he would still be on contract and he can't be let go until then. They can't hire anyone new until then.
NBC has money but I am sure they are not willing to pay two writers at one time.
Wow. I sympathize with everything you said. Days really does stink, but the show doesn't care about what we think, so why should we care about the show? I stopped watching. I held out as long as I could, but I cannot watch this rubbish they are passing off as a soap. The people at NBC are completly clueless! They are passing off every opportunity to clean up their act. How great would it have been if Wayne was returning as Roman and Judi as Adrienne? It's nice to see them all, but frankly I think I would prefer them off the show. Look at what they have done to Bonnie Lockhart. One of the most repulsive characters on tv. I cringe everytime I see her on! I hate all the lockharts. They are all TRASH, especially that little tramp Mimi. I cannot believe they took this stupid, useless character and made her the star of the show and they ram her down our throats everyday. That chick should not have lasted more than a few weeks on this show. The show is neglecting the Hortons, the Brady's, and the Deveraux's for some stupid trashy family no one gives a sh*t about. If this is what they want fine, but I want no part of it.

I think NBC should have a contest with viewers have viewers be the writer for the week. I;m sure lots of viewers would be a writer for a weekor a month for free...and payJERk to take a vacation.
The ideas I see posted here or on dustins board are somuch better then what is going on.
It would be cool too if they had a "choose your own adventure" and have viewers vote on the course of the storyline...better then what is happening now!
And lets not forget the latest proof of lack of continuity. IF Belle is really pregnant, she must be at least seven months along since she hasn't had sex with anyone since January! How can anyone be seven months pregnant and not know it? I suppose her ulcer pain is really just the baby moving?? She must truly be a twit! But then again how can Marlena be pregnant when she has to be at least 60?! She was already a practicing psychiatrist when she came to Salem in 1976!
