The party had ended and almost everyone had gone home. Taylor was looking to see who was left at the party. She looked in the rooms and was shocked when she saw Belle lying on one of the beds with only a sheet covering her. There was no one else in bed with her but Taylor knew that there was before. She heard Belle groan and watched as she slowly opened her eyes. Taylor shut the bedroom door and approached Belle.
“Belle. Are you okay?” asked Taylor concerned.
“I don’t know. I have a huge headache.” Belle quickly sat up and held the sheet to her chin. “Where are my clothes? What happened?”
“You don’t remember?”
“No,” replied Belle and her eyes started to fill with tears. “I know I slept with someone. I don’t remember but I’m sore so that means that I had sex with someone, right?”
Taylor nodded. “Yeah, it usually does.”
“Who did I sleep with? What happened?” asked Belle panicking.
Taylor had a pretty good idea of what happened. She remembered Belle having a drink when she was talking to her. She remembered how Belle had left it ungaurded at the table while she went to get her. She didn’t want to suggest it but she knew she had to.
“Belle, maybe you were drugged.”
Belle looked at Taylor shocked. “What? No way. That’s not possible. People in this town are not like that. They aren’t,” Belle insisted.
“Belle, there are people who go around drugging people all over the world. It could have happened to you and I am willing to bet that it did.”
“How do I find out for sure?” asked Belle.
“I’ll take you to the hospital for some tests,” said Taylor.
“No. My mom works there. Everyone there knows me. We can’t go there. I don’t want anyone to know.”
“Okay. We can go to the free clinic. Do you think anyone there will recognise you?”
“No. Lets go,” said Belle and she got her clothes back on.
At the clinic Belle had to wait for about an hour for the test results. They drew some blood and went to run tests and now the doctor is back with the results.
“Belle. There were traces of date rape drug in your Blood. Now I’m going to give you-” The doctor was cut off by Belle running out of the room and out of the clinic in tears. Taylor tried to run after her but Belle was too fast. She ran and ran until she got to the docks. Belle sat down at the docks and cried until she had no tears left. She couldn’t believe that someone could do this to her, but someone did. After fifteen minutes of sitting there Belle heard footsteps. She turned around and saw Shawn. He was staring at her with cold eyes. Belle stood up and turned to face him.
“Shawn,” she started but he cut her off.
“I can’t believe you. I thought you were better than that but I guess I was wrong. And to think I was going to tell you...” Shawn trailed off.
“Tell me what Shawn. What did I do?” asked Belle as she felt more tears coming. She didn’t know why Shawn was saying these things but he was. She couldn’t help but wonder if she saw her and whoever the guy was but she quickly forgot about that. He couldn’t have seen her, could he?”
“Don’t act all innocent Belle. You are anything but innocent. I saw you and it disgusts me. I can’t even look at you right now,” he said and then stormed off angrily and Belle collapsed to the ground and started crying again. He did see her and he hated her. Belle never felt more scared and alone in her life.
