“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!”
Shawn and Belle immediately broke apart and stood up, scared out of their minds. It was only Philip. He looked amused and confused.
“What are you doing here Phil?” Shawn yelled exasperated.
“Me? What are you talking about? I’m the one that came over here because I needed to talk to someone and your mom said you weren’t here, so I came back here to be alone and think and I see you two making out and groping each like you were boyfriend and girlfriend!! Have you guys been secretly fooling around behind our backs?”
“Philip we weren’t fooling around….” Shawn was so embarrassed, he looked over and saw Belle’s face, she looked at him and laughed nervously.
“Oh really Shawn cause that’s what it looked like to me.” Philip laughed, “What are you guys so freaked out about? So I caught you making out, GOOD! I always knew you were crazy for each other!!”
“Well the truth is that Belle and I are an item.” Shawn looked at Belle as he said this and smiled. Belle was so happy Shawn had said this, not only did he clarify their relationship but it made her feel so good that he was finally expressing his feelings.
Belle walked up to Philip and gave him a hug.
“I am so sorry about what happened Philip. If you ever need to talk, call me.”
“I will Belle, thanks.”
“Yeah man. I can’t believe what Chloe did….”
Philip interrupted Shawn, “Don’t even mention her name. We are so through. I loved her. I loved her! And she threw it in my face and almost ruined my life by saying I raped her. Thank goodness that she had a rape kit examination and it proved that I didn’t touch her because I didn’t.”
Belle and Shawn could see the rage Philip felt. He sat on the bench and leaned his head onto his hands.
“We knew Philip. And we are going to stand by you and support you in any way we can”
“Thanks Belle. I don’t know what to do. I feel so angry. She’s in the psychiatric ward in the hospital. Can you believe that?”
“Belle’s mom told us. I’m sorry man.”
“Maybe she is crazy. I loved her so much and I told her all the time. She said she trusted me and that made me feel so good because I know she had trouble trusting people. But that’s NO excuse to accuse me of raping her. She has issues and I don’t want to see her or be any part of her life ever again.” Philip looked at Belle and suddenly burst out laughing. Shawn looked at Belle confused and then he said “OH NO!!”
“What? What is it?” Belle began to get nervous. What was so funny?
“Shawn gave you the biggest hickey I have EVER seen in my life!”
“Oh no! Shawn! What am I going to do when I go home?”
“Cover it with make up. You have enough of it in your bag. Or do you only reserve that for emergency hair supplies?” Belle hit him playfully on the arm.
“I’m sorry.” He said putting his arm around her and kissing her cheek. “You are beautiful”
“You guys….I have to go. I’ll give you a call or just see you at school tomorrow.”
After Philip left Belle worked dutifully to cover her souvenir from Shawn.
“Belle I’m so sorry. But it looks fine. You can barely see it with the makeup”
Shawn offered to walk her home and she accepted. After all, they had school tomorrow and had homework to do.
They stood outside the door to the penthouse.
“Well…” Shawn grabbed her mid-sentence and kissed her, deeply. He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and as he continued to kiss her he let his hand slide and squeezed her butt. Belle’s eyes popped open and she squealed still kissing Shawn. He dipped her back and continued to kiss her. She let herself sink into it. He gave her quick kisses on her lips as he pulled her up from the dip.
“I…..*kiss*…love….*kiss*….you…*kiss…” He playfully spat out.
“WHAT????” Belle halted all her action and stood, stupefied at what Shawn had said.
“Uh……”
