“Yes something did happen.” She looked down at the table.
“What?” Shawn was worried.
“Well it was an accident really. After we talked he hugged me and…Oh Shawn it’s nothing.” She took a sip of her iced tea.
“Belle, what is it.” He had grabbed her drink and put it down. His heart raced.
“We accidentally…..kissed.”
“WHAT?” Shawn yelled, deliriously jealous.
“Shhhh. Keep your voice down.” She said looking around. “I told you it was an accident. We hugged and he said ‘can I get a kiss on the cheek.’ I thought he meant me give him one, but he meant to give me one himself and we turned our heads at the same time and….”
“Kissed.” He sat back annoyed.
“Shawn it was a harmless, accidental peck. It didn’t mean anything. Why are you acting so jealous?”
“Because I don’t like the idea of another guy getting the pleasure of kissing you!!!” He was bright red in the face. Belle had never seen him like this before.
“Shawn,” she whispered caressing his face with her hand, “It was an accident. You have nothing to be jealous of. I love YOU!”
“I guess not.” He whispered grabbing her hand and kissing it. “But I’m not happy about it. And I’m upset that Philip didn’t tell me when he talked to me earlier.”
“Because it was nothing. Please can we just forget it? Please?” She batted her eyes quickly, making Shawn laugh.
“Alright. It’s forgotten.” Shawn leaned over the table and kissed Belle, twirling his tongue quickly in her mouth. As he sat back he thought to himself, but I’ll be keeping my eye on you Philip.
