When I was growing up my dad had a wooden manual meat tenderiser which was excellent except it was not great with older cuts of meat and you tended to get splashed with blood in the enthusiasm of the result.
But over the summer I found an electronic one which has a mixture of sharp and blunt spikes. It is particularly good for meat getting towards its sell by date and as it is electronic you can leave it alone and not get the mess on your clothes..... thought it might come in handy!
