Response to no, not harsh at all

Your very first comment, combined with the fact that you STILL haven't remedied your insulting gaffe over on the Canadian forum, says so much that I hardly know where to start to answer it. What does being Canadian have to do with it? You know what? I'm not going to tell you. I'm not giving you any more free information; I think your expiry date has passed on that one.

I don't think I misinterpreted anything you said. Your point was that you thought Cindy's wording was harsh. Mine, more succinctly put, was that Cindy saying anything at all is already such a huge favour that you have two choices of response within the realm of acceptable protocol, as I see: 1) to accept it and say thank you, or 2) to say nothing. Sadly, you chose neither, but continue to miss the point of what everyone else is saying to you all over this forum.

I hate to repeat myself, but no, the options aren't "people are meanies" vs. being babied. My point was that it isn't anyone's job to be nice to you. In my view, Cindy sharing her advice was nice enough. If you're offended by her wording choices, I'd suggest getting out of this career field now. It's not a very nice place - unless you can get over the wording and just accept her advice as the gift it is. I don't think anything she said was rude or harsh. I've heard much harsher advice about the realities of this field in classroom and masterclass settings. This is pretty standard.

The irony here is that your entire lecture about people being "rude" is what's actually rude about this entire post.
