And no, I don't think it's fair for me to ask anyone to uphold a standard that I am not willing to uphold myself.

Frankly if I ran a program I would probably not post here at all because there's inevitably some asshole who will give you a hard time and boxing with phantoms is a no-win situation. But I do respect the people who do. There are so few chances for people who aren't already working with people who are on the other side of the table to hear what they have to say that it's a bad idea to run them off but that's what we do here over and over.

Cindy has given me some very good advice over the years and she has for quite a few others (pretty much everyone who asked I suspect). So that's why you are getting the response you are getting. I don't think she was rude. She said what a lot of people think and won't say out loud. This is the problem there days. No one will say what they really think for fear of upsetting someone. So people show up and don't get cast or don't get hired and keep repeating their mistakes. And people are helped in this way how?
