Not with that rep, at least. You may be the next heldentenor or dramatic whatever (I don't know your gender, sorry), but you are too young to sing that stuff. Just because it's comfortable doesn't mean it's appropriate for you to be singing now. Trust me on this. I was wanting to sing that stuff when I was your age, too. Hells yeah, Mozart was uncomfortable to sing. Always was. Probably always will be. But now I'm about twice your age and just starting to singing for real now, and the older I got, the scarier it became to actually sing this. You need to go into competitions with repertoire that you could sing the whole role of, not just showy tunes that you feel comfortable in. Make sense?
There's stuff out there that isn't Wagner that you can do. I promise. We can talk about this more, if you like. I think that doing the competition is not a bad idea, but if you walk in there with a list full of Wagner and a big, shiny "22" blazing beside your name, they'll write you off and not even think about taking you seriously. Then, even if you blow them away, you still start from a position of disadvantage. Don't do that to yourself. Alternative: wait until you're at least 30 and then just do the Wagner comps. They exist, too, and the age maximums are higher than for other comps, which should tell you something significant right there. I'm very happy to talk rep with you, if you like! I'm a soprano and teach both a dramatic mezzo and a heldentenor, and used to date a Wotan, so hit me.
