That included:
-r/t airfare
-all accommodations (using servas- a great way to travel, staying in people's homes) but did stay in 2 hostels and another accommodation the last week
-transportation from rome, milan, pisa, hamburg, berlin
-competition fee
-workshop fee
-italian language program fee
-opera ticket
My experience is that everyone has a different travel mode. Your needs will be different than anyone else. You have all the answers to the questions you want within.
