A city like Berlin would be very cheap to find a furnished apartment for 2 months.
Go through an online website, of course, you will have to pay deposit, etc. But it would be much cheaper on the long run than hotels/hostels. You can travel the day of auditions if you are a risk taker, and save that way as well.
