Good undergrad places in the North East?

I need advice for a student. She currently attends SUNY Potsdam/ Clarkson University, but she would like to be a voice major and needs another year or two of study to get to the level of someplace like the Crane School.
Can anyone recommend teachers/schools in the NY State/New England area? I live in Virginia, so I'm a little out of my element here.
-Thanks!

NY state schools

In NY there are a number of schools.

SUNY Fredonia
Nazareth
Eastman
Roberts Wesleyan
Syracuse
SUNY Potsdam
SUNY Purchase

Even Buffalo, Stony Brook, Skidmore and Bard have music departments with decent voice teachers. That's not even including schools in NYC. I live in Rochester, if you want any information on the schools in that area (Eastman, Naz, Roberts) feel free to e-mail me.
