I'm one of the lucky ones for whom it didn't hurt at all. I mean, not AT ALL. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone who hasn't had one yet is fearing it. Seriously - I joked and chatted with the tech the whole time.

But, I have had plenty of other nasty medical things that hurt like the bejeezus, including labor.

A mammogram is only 5 minutes, tops. And really - the compression shouldn't be for more than a minute on each side. You can take deep breaths or do Lamaze breathing and get through it and then go about your day.

Maybe find a better center with a more compassionate tech?
