Child Care in Manhattan

Great news! My husband got a full-time job! Bad news - the daycare centers we've contacted so far will cost what amounts to his entire paycheck. Obviously not great.

I was wondering if anyone here with children knows of any daycare centers - either large centers, family group centers, or small in-home centers - that are moderately-priced?

Or, if anyone knows of anyone looking for a nanny-share?

The job is worth him keeping for the benefits and the experience, but we'd really like to not see his entire salary evaporate...

I'd love to be pointed in some good directions...
