The pouring rain, thunder and lightning came just as people were getting out of work. I had a class right after work, and I got soaked just crossing from one side of our campus (Columbia University) to the other.
The real fun was having to wade through all the impromptu little ponds of water that form on the campus walkways every time it rains. My shoes and my feet were sopping wet by the time I got to class.
By the time class was over, the rain was over, too.
