I'm going to a wedding on Friday and I need a nice cocktail dress for not very much money (unemployment and all, YAY). I was thinking the garment district...is this a good choice? Or any other suggestions?

There are some sale racks at Macy's right now - gowns and cocktail length- depending on your size etc you might find something! Also, Daffy's at Herald Square - always hit or miss - but it could be a hit!

Loman's if you hit a good sale can be pretty cheap

the sale racks at Lord and Taylor's. I have gotten some great buys there!
