... I think there's been a thread on just this very subject over on the Main page - ya might wanna go there and have a look.

Basically, if you're unmanaged, you need to become a networking fiend: call people, drop off flyers at churches/with performing ensembles, etc./get a CD &/or MP3s of you doing the main arias from it, and so forth.

I go hot and cold on the piece myself (even having the first aria right outta the box, hee hee), especially when it's the FULL! 3! HOUR! PLUS! version that I have to sit through (I mean, I LOVE Handel - don't get me wrong, it's just that my physical and mental sitzfleisch quaver at the thought of having to sit out there and not nod off after the intermish).

That being said, if you can do the pieces and make them work, you SHOULD get as many gigs of this as possible. "High Singing Season" is nigh!
