Get your head out of your ethocentric ass and call the country by it's actual name; or at least by a nickname that isn't belittling.
"The Great White North" or somesuch would do quite well, if your mental capacities aren't quite up to recalling the actual name of the US's biggest trading partner and closest neighbour.
And as for "[our] national treasure," he certainly is legendary...
