You are simply not reading the obvious. There are several people who have objected and been offended by your baligerant (sp) statement.
I think you need to stop skirting away from the fact that you are not simply shutting up and just apologizing. you have been insensitive.
whether or not you believe in your apology , we dont care, we just dont need you make matter worse by justifying your comment. now i am not a canadian nor do i live in Canada but I do believe in being a good neighbour.
your best bet is to simply take accountability that the people on this forum have taken offense and you caused it.
most mature individuals would say "wow, ok im sorry I offended you, i can see you are upset by my statement, i do apologize."
then just shut up, because you lose any possibility of people helping you here in future.
