| Pelleas is really pretty mainstream. I was actually surprised to see them announce 2 mainstream operas; I knew things had changed since the 20th Century Opera and Song days, but didn't realize how much. Be glad they're not going back to doing Harrison Birtwistle or Quentin Doolittle, if you think Debussy isn't "useful".
