It's actually from the dying days of the last election. Harper's comments on Quebec and the arts (along with a series of ad spots like this,) is one of the major reasons we avoided a Conservative majority last time around. Great stuff!

I wouldn't throw a shoe at you...

I'd at least upgrade to a cowboy boot!!!

That being said, I think Harper's Conservatives are doing a piss poor job these days, but I still wouldn't vote for the Liberals. I'm not sure anyone could say what the Liberal positions are...

First they complained that the bailout package wasn't coming soon enough, so it was moved up, and then they complained about how it wasn't thought through enough. Then they complained that the bailout package wasn't big enough, and now they complain that it's too big.

There was absolutely no way that the Liberals could have/would have forced an election this week, yet they postured themselves as the saviours of all things good. What did they get out of it? Well, the September update was already decided upon with the other updates. Isotopes are being sorted out. Clarity and details about the stimulus spending? Well, last I checked, municipalities have to put out open sealed tenders for projects, and the majority are still in that phase... Which means we're waiting for the municipalities to move through the standard process... And EI reform? Again, Harper said that they would be visiting the issue in the fall, but now there are a couple of token Liberals who will spend their summer vacation doing a book report for their leader...

It seems like Iggy is an academic strength whiner. Here's a tissue...

I would tend to agree

but then again I'm left of the Liberals so...

I'd concede most of your points to be sure except on the Isotopes. That's a pretty big mess that I think is only going to get bigger as the summer wears on. Other than that, my only major beef is the secrecy. Nothing, since they were elected, seems to be done out in the open.

Well, that and the attack ads.
